This is a different board, I don't think the issues arising at the duf need to be migrated over here. I don't see the big deal with admin/mod positions anyway - let it go, believe me it's never worth the trouble.

No, it was a question.
Else i would have written:
"for your info: i just removed all admins and custodioans, but left those: user-x and user-y".

I thought about that for long, not as a reaction to anything.
This board does not need administration or moderation.
My first idea: making all users equal by making all an admin, is nut.
I was searching for a way out of that.
I for one speak _before_ i act. That might be good or bad, but it is my way.

I agree that the timing was bad.
I do things once in the mood and once i got the time.
And i didn't do, i asked or proposed.
That is why i put it in this section:
It is called "forum proposals".
Any member can put his ideas here.

short and simple: yes.
Also this board is for only one purpose: storing some info about refracta and stay.
We are not hunting for users or tons of posts. I simply want the info to be online, so i can find it in case i need it.
It was and is very exhausting to search for the actual place where Dean stores/stored his info.
That is all. I am neither keen on being admin nor owner nor moderator.
So i herd u liek mudkip?

On a side not i got a question:
I am looking for a linux forum which is run that way.
Without regulation, without "leaders" who decide, without hiding anything.
All boards i know (say 10 or more) the moderators and admins think they must do something to do their job.
If one knows about such a board i would be glad to join it.
to give the idea: forums.debian.net has been that way as long Lavene was admin
(so YES, it _is_ possible. I am not interested in a discussion it it is possible or not. I am interested where to find such a board).

A forum which is more like IRC or like a mailing list.

Personally I think one member should have access to the admin account and that is it. That member should be an active member of the community, initiate/participate in discussion of issues, and then carry out whatever needs to be done, if anything.

I guess i should add the info here.
I did what i said in the OP. Me myself and fsmithred are the formal admins.
Any changes may easily be made (if for one am anything but keen to be the owner or admin, i only want it to stay).
LIke said more than once in this thread: it is more of a message board than a forum, so it seems like we all are fine.

to sum it up my usual: nothing is written in stone.
