heads is a libre (free as in freedom) GNU/Linux distribution. It is aimed to be a distro that respects your privacy, freedom, and helps you to stay secure and anonymous. For more information, please see the about heads page.

This entire website is also accessible via Tor at: http://fz474h2o46o2u7xj.onion/

And it's a Devuan derivative!
May the FORK be with you!

good, now replace the uefi version of refracta with this, so that instead of getting refracta to boot from uefi, it boots from heads.

(no im only joking-- how cool would that be, though? obviously uefi is the problem ), and replacing it with heads would be nice. i think you may need to do jiggery pokery with hardware to install heads though. i was showing it to a tech friend of mine a few weeks ago.)

Just add it to a multiboot usb that already has uefi boot files, and you can run it on uefi hardware. I don't think it's meant to be installed, but you could install it onto uefi hardware from that multiboot usb. As long as there was already a working linux on the hard drive, you'd have a way to boot into heads.

I'll sit back a few months (at least) before I decide whether to take 'em seriously.
No forum, dyne mailinglist archive manager reports "no such list exists"... doesn't create a favorable first impression.

No forum, dyne mailinglist archive manager

similar arguments made about devuan itself. the collection of derivative distros and articles on distrowatch (and heres a forum or two) do nothing to convince some people.

theres a better explanation: https://github.com/osresearch/heads

It is a work in progress and not yet ready for non-technical users. If you're interested in contributing, please get in touch. Installation requires disassembly of your laptop or server, external SPI flash programmers, possible risk of destruction and significant frustration.

"wheres the forum" is the least of the obstacles.

i first learned about heads from this video from 33c3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kNnTsgujIA

this isnt a "linux for uefi," this is "*replace half/all your firmware* with linux" project. since forums are more for users and mailing lists are more for developers (debian aside-- though dont me started...) it makes sense that this project doesnt have enough users to justify a forum yet.
