(SOLVED) uEFI build of grub.cfg

Postby vsido » Sat Apr 08, 2017 8:23 pm

Hello.. using the refracta snapshot tool with uEFI and everything is working as it should with one notable exception

a new grub.cfg is created with the build and is placed here:

Code: Select all
/home/work/iso/boot/grub/grub.cfg

which is pulled from the /usr/lib/refractasnapshot/grub.cfg.template as dictated in /etc/refractasnapshot.conf and contains

Code: Select all
linux /live/vmlinuz boot=live ip=frommedia username=vsido

I need to add the following to that line

Code: Select all
net.ifnames=0

In the normal non uEFI build setup I use, this is handled perfectly by editing and adding it to

Code: Select all
/usr/lib/refractasnapshot/iso/isolinux/live.cfg

For whatever reasons, the addition of the additional grub features for uEFI adds one layer of complexity.. For a temp fix I simply edit the

Code: Select all
/home/work/iso/boot/grub/grub.cfg

Before I start the build and add the net.ifnames=0 parameter..

I would like to make this permanent so I do not have to add it each time with an edit

Add it to /usr/lib/refractasnapshot/grub.cfg.template.
